Educational worksheet

Position-sizing worksheet

Explore a hypothetical risk budget, adverse exit and whole-lot rounding.

The risk percentage is your scenario input, not a recommended allocation. Stops can gap or fail. The result does not check affordability, suitability or broker limits.

Formula and method

Whole lots = floor(risk budget ÷ ((|entry − assumed exit| + per-unit allowance) × units per lot)).

Worked example

₹1,00,000 capital, 1% scenario budget, entry 200, assumed exit 195, ₹1 allowance and 50 units per lot gives 3 whole lots and ₹900 estimated scenario loss.
